We chose this company for our self-guided tour because it was the cheapest. We did the Rhine River and Freiburg tour. Luggage transfers very good. But hotels were very hot and had no fans or AC. Temperatures were in 90s F, 35-40 C. Also guide/map book was only in German, so not very helpful in terms of sight seeing. You would do better to plan your own route, research bike-friendly hotels (there are many) and buy a bike map from the tourist info office. Do some research and find a local to transfer your luggage each day, or carry panniers. Easy to follow Euro Route 2 or other German and regional bike routes with signs.
Would not recommend. We went on their Breisgau and Alsace Wine Road tour, which was a nice area to cycle in, but we felt very badly let down by the information we were given, and very poor directions. We got the impression that the directions had been put together using google maps, and that no one had actually cycled the route - landmarks would have made the instructions a lot more useful. And, there were days when we struggled to find any refreshments en route - other companies we had previously cycled with gave us advance warning of this, and advised us to stock up before departing in the morning. When we complained to Velotours, they acknowledged the instructions were not as good as they should be and that they were due to be updated. We complained that the lack of reasonable information had had a significant impact on the enjoyment of our holiday, but they offered us 40 euros in compensation - less than 2% of the cost of the holiday!A very poor experience; Velotours clearly don't care about their customers and their reputation.

Alles in allem bietet dieser Anbieter ein schlechtes Preis-/ Leistungsverhltnis. Eines unserer Hotels, die Trompete in Eichsttt, hatte den Charme eines Stundenhotels aus den Siebzigern. Der Gepcktransport im letzten Hotel traf erst gegen 18:00 Uhr ein! Positiv waren die Hotels in Weienburg, Riedenburg und Rothenburg o. d. Tauber. Das nchste Mal werden wir einen anderen Anbieter whlen.
Leider mehr Schein als sein. Wirkt sehr organisiert und zuvorkommend. Allerdings wurden bei unserer Route Hotels gebucht, welche nicht richtig gereinigt wurden und ein Hotel war in Zimmer und Bad mit Schimmel befallen. Als wir den Besitzer des Hotels damit konfrontiert haben, meinte er das er vom Schimmelbefall wei aber und kein anderes Zimmer gibt. Auch die anderen der Gruppe hatten dieses Problem. Als wir Velotours davon berichteten gewhrten sie uns nicht, trotz Rechtsanspruch in ein anderes Hotel zu wechseln. Auch beim Transport wurde ein Gepckstck beschdigt. Als wir Ermigung wollten wegen der vorgefallenen Unannehmlichkeiten wurde das Gegenteil unsere Aussage behauptet und waren kein Stck kulant! Absolut nicht zu empfehlen auer man will eine Tour der Grusel Hotels absolvieren.
